Breaking Dawn

So, last Friday night, I had to go get the new book by Stephanie Meyer, Breaking Dawn with my friend Julie and some of her friends. We stopped at IHOP before we went for some appetizers. Of all the luck, our waiter's name was Jacob. We all started laughing when he introduced himself, so we told him that we were on our way to get a new book and Jacob is one of the main characters in the book. He said he hoped that was a good thing and we told him it wasn't so he asked what he should change his name to and someone told him Edward, so that is what he called himself the rest of the night.

Then we headed over to WalMart to get our book. We got there at 9:00 and they had a lot going on. They had Hot Dogs and wedding cake, they had drawings and prizes. They also had face painting. We had to get some bite marks, just to add to the evening.

After we participated in all they had to do, we sat down to wait with a deck of Phase 10 cards. At 11:30, they handed out the books, but we couldn't pay and leave until 12:01, so Julie and I sat down on a bench near the pharmacy area and read. We read for about 30 minutes until we decided the lines were down enough to pay and leave. I read that night, all the next day and finished at 5:00 Sunday morning when Clara woke me up to hold her. It was a great book - I love how she tied everything up nicely. Now that I know what happens, I want to read it again, as soon as I get it back from my friend Leslie.

Some gals in our ward went to Anacortes to get their books. They went to one of the release parties and then checked in to a hotel to read their books. The next day they went around Forks and Anacortes to see some of the 'Twilight' spots. They saw Dr Cullens parking spot, Bella's truck, Charlie's house and even had ravioli at the restaurant Bella ate at in Anacortes. Let me know if you want the link to one of the gals blogs so you can see pictures!

How fun! The bite marks were awesome. I can hardly wait to read the book myself. I am almost half way in the third book.
