Grandpa's Cows

When we were heading back from fishing, we passed by where Grandpa Craig works and decided that to call him and see if he was busy. Grandpa works at a ranch for troubled teens where the kids get to raise calves, so we went to see "Grandpa's cows." Holden and Grandpa

Holden liked seeing the baby cows and I even got him to pet one. He tried to pet a second one, but the calf licked him and he didn't like that.

The whole way home, Holden just kept saying "Grandpa's Cows," but I thought he was saying "Grandpa's House" so I kept saying, "no, that's Grandpa's work." It took me a few minutes to figure out what he was saying. He was so excited that we got to see Grandpa's Cows that he just kept repeating that - such a cute kid!
