Makayla and Austin took part in the tradition of breaking the wishbone. We let it dry for a few days and then they both took a side. Makayla was excited, as this was her first crack at a wishbone and thought long and hard on a wish that she wanted to make. Her and Austin each took a side and she got the bigger half. She said that she wished for warmer weather (this was last week when it was cold out). I liked her wish, hopefully spring is finally here.

I like Makayla's wish too. I can't believe how big Clara is getting. Hey, it was so fun to see you and your beautiful house. Thanks again for having us over!
Tell Makayla thank you for that wish! I'm hoping it comes true soon too. I remember my first wishbone (I was probably 7 or 8.) Now Will and I do that with fortune cookies. We each pull one end and whoever gets the fortune paper gets his/her wish.
That was a great wish, I wish for warm weather too. I haven't done a wishbone for many years, but it is really fun, so I think I will show that tradition to my kids soon.
First I am very thankful for Makayla's wish, we are very ready for warmer weather. Also this may make me sound pathetic but I am impressed you cooked a turkey for dinner and it's not Thanksgiving!
Amy, let me clarify. I didn't cook a turkey for dinner. I got one of those rotisserie chickens at Costco for $4.99. I don't even cook a turkey on Thanksgiving!
