Frogs and Snails...

I love going home in the summer because we spend the time at Dad and Carol's Lake place. It is such a relaxing time with no expectations and no schedules to keep.




Makayla had a great time catching Frogs and Snails. They were everywhere! What are little girls made of?





One day, we took out the paddle boat for a little ride. Marie and I peddaled, Holden sat between us in the front seat, and Hanna and Clara sat in the back. We strapped Clara in pretty good so she wouldn't decided to jump out on us.





Laying around was what we did most of the week we were there. We did go see fireworks on the 4th. It was an amazing display! Of course, we played a lot of cards and games. My last day there, I was dead sick. I couldn't get up for more than an hour and then I was wiped out and went back to bed. Luckily it only lasted 12 hours and nobody else in my family got it! It wasn't a fun way to spend my vacation!

We also got to see Barb and Bill Dretke (My aunt and uncle). Our vacations only overlapped a day, and I was sick that day, but it was good to see them!
